I won a pair of tickets on Aer Lingus to visit Ireland. The thing is, I had just been to Ireland the year before, so I decided to use the tickets as a 9th anniversary gift to take Bill to a magical place that combines two of his other loves: golf & single malt Scotch whisky. Bill's cousin, Jeff, and his wife, Diane were planning on going on their first European vacation around the same time. So we decided to rendezvous and the couple spent the first part of their trip with the first half of our Scotland trip. We rented a car and drove on the other side of the road exploring this beautiful country. We mixed it up by staying in the best & most luxurious hotels (complimentary, of course) and B&B's that we just found along the way. I got to meet the man I was named after, Sir Sean Connery, but never got to meet Nessie, the Loch Ness monster (LOL). Bill, on the other hand, got to golf in the best courses in the birthplace of golf and was able to try all his favorite Scotches and discover new ones. It proved to be another trip of a lifetime!
